I'm interested in the MTH Wooden Water Tower and had question for anyone that is using one. My question is how noisy is it when the spout is being held in the down position? I would like to ad a sound module to the item, but if it makes as much noise as the Lionel #38 I've seen that may be a waste of money?

It make some noise, but a very nice accessory, Here's a video of mine.You don't have to watch the whole video. Just go to the 4 minute mark of the video and you will see it operate.

Looks like it just makes a little noise during activation, but not a continuous buzz all the time it is down?

Gene, your welcome. It's not bad at all, it only make's noise going down and back up. It works really well.
