Mute topic option?

David_NJOGR Forum Member SUPPORTING MEMBERDIGITAL SUBSCRIBER

Most forum software has the ability to mute a topic so even if it is updated, it won't show for me. I haven't come across that option yet so either it is not an option in this forum software or I'm missing where it is. Anyone know?

I browse the forums using https://ogrforum.com/topics?page=1 and scroll through all the new/updated topics, opening in a new tab any ones I want to read in detail. When I'm done I mark the topics as read. For any topics I know I won't be interested in, even if updated, I'd like to mute them if possible.

Just hit the bell so it goes from red to blue. You will not get anymore notifications.

We need to be clear about what you mean by "mute."

If all you are talking about is suspending email notifications for a given thread, then the little bell icon is the right answer.

However, if you mean you don't even want to see that thread in the list any more, that is not possible to do.

Thanks but I don't believe that is what I'm looking for. The bell will alert me to a thread I have replied to our asked to be notified.

I'm looking to not see specific updated posts on topics in the link I shared - https://ogrforum.com/topics?page=1

The topics displayed are not ones that necessarily have three Alert notification bell enabled.
