I am going to start this with a great man just passed. A man that was born in the 40 s and has been into o gauge trains since late late 40s. my grandfather had bought my father his trains in the 50s and bothe father and son ran trains for years. So the son grows up and starts a family of his own and that's where I come in and I start learning about  trains from my father and he starts buying my trains later in life my father gives me some of his trains that his father bought him and now my father passes so I ran his favorite train for hours. This really helped me with the death and I think my father was with me for the last run of this train. thanks all for hearing me rant just want the world know about a great man I call my father.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my father almost 20 years ago on Christmas Eve, and there is not a day that goes by that I do not think of him. Even though he never had the big collection he always liked the trains, and he loved Christmas.

It gives me the drive every year to set up the large display we do every year. As time goes on, it makes us realize how special our parents are, and how even more thankful for having great ones. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I am very sorry for your your dad's passing.  I know how difficult that is.   As others have already said, your dad is still with you in, among other memories, memories of you, your dad and the trains.  As difficult as this is right now I hope you can get to the point where memories of him and the trains will bring you more comfort than sorrow.
