I have a TMCC/RS New York Central H16-44. It was working fine when it no longer would go forward or reverse. RailSounds and other TMCC functions like directional lighting and crew talk respond fine.

I did a reset as specified in the manual. It's engine # is 70.

STEP 1: Move the switch on your

locomotive from RUN to PRG.

STEP 2: Plug in your Command Base.

STEP 3: Place the locomotive on track,

then turn on power to your track.

STEP 4: Press ENG then input the

locomotive’s ID# (70). Press SET.

STEP 5: Press ENG, the ID#(70), AUX1, then

press 8 for this particular locomotive.

STEP 6: Turn off power to your track and

wait ten seconds.

STEP 7: Remove the locomotive from your

track, and move the switch from PRG to

RUN.

STEP 8: Place the locomotive back on

track, then turn power on to the track.

STEP 9: Press ENG and the ID#(70), then

operate as normal.

……but nothing is changed. It responds to all TMCC commands, except it won't move…..

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Check what John stated. If that checks out, look at the following.   Check for 5VDC at the Odyssey encoder board.  If you do not have it, take your meter back into the driver board out wires to the Odyssey encoder.  If you do not have 5VDC at that point, check for 5VDC going into the driver board.  Let us know where you are at with that and we can give you a short cut to get 5VDC going into the driver board.

If you do have 5VDC at the Odyssey board at the motor, your board might need to be replaced.
