Received my GGD Pullman 8-1-2 sleeper today in a crushed box, but the seller wrapped it well and the car survived. At least I think it is an 8-1-2 sleeper; there was no box.
I wanted this Pullman because it was a different color than my PRR passenger cars. In the mid 1940s, Pullman began using the two-tone gray paint scheme on their heavyweight cars in the general pool. Being a general pool car, the PRR used them when they needed additional capacity during high demand periods. For me, I just wanted something to break up that long string of Tuscan Red.
This is a great looking car and the paint is, as always with GGD, well done.
