I have a MTH Southern Pacific Daylight with protosound 2. It is fried. It has a resistor fried, a fat cap and the wire to the battery is melted. BATTERY SHORTED. I have read posts and been on line till my eyes are blury. What would the solution be to get me up and running again. I would like to have at least ps1 operation, smoke bell, whistle, direction. Thanks guys

man i feel for you.first find if there anything that couldve sorted that out..then.you could replace the bad resister and wire and see if that board comes back to life..im running ps1's in my 3rd rail trains..i might have a spair ps1 board set i could part with.i have to look..I know for sure when i do put ERRC in my S1 the ps1 board set is comming out of it.

I could do this repair for you.  I have a LocoSounds board for the GS4.  That would still give you syncronized smoke and chuff, bell, whistle.  No command control, but better then PS-1.  You can contact me off line.  E-mail is in my profile.  I could also do a PS-2 3V with 5V connector conversion. I am a MTH Tech.  G
