A friends layout with 5 TIUs/ power districts.

Barry's book says use a common ground from all transformers This was done but also track power is used to run non-derail, which is not recommended. And also the relay circuits for Ross turnouts, all using the common ground.

We are blowing TVS in our TIU's I have recommended that non derails go to separate 12V power and think the Switch relays should also be put on separate 12V power. The TIU output goes to the tracks in the star pattern. We have checked and rechecked for continuity issue but cannot find any.

Need thoughts and ideas. Thanks
