I have a MTH Rail King 4-6-2 P47 Pacific Imperial Steamer that has sounds, smoke, and lights, but is locked in neutrol. I'm looking for someone in the Dallas-Ft Worth, Texas area with MTH DCS that can do the factury reset.

If he wants to run the engine with the DCS REMOTE COMMANDER, he must have the engine reset using a DCS system to set the engine back without an address, if it has ever being run with a TIU or a DCS COMMANDER. The DCS COMANDER is different than the DCS REMOTE COMMANDER by the way.
Later PS-3 had software to allow conventional address reset for Remote CDR. But, I think he is running conventional since everything else seems to work?????
Conventional reset and or unlock should do it. G
That's the problem, I down sized my layout and sold my MTH DCS equipment. I saved this engine to run on a Christmas layout, but forgot to reset it to conventional operation. Now it's sturk in neutrol and I can't find anyone locally that can help reset it.
Look on the MTH website for a dealer near you. I bet they can do it. There are 3 or 4 dealers listed in the DFW area.

Unfortunately COVID has made things difficult since many clubs are shut down right now. Any club or individual operating DCS could reset it for you. We used to do it quite frequently.

Good point, It looks like I'll just continue to sit out the pandemic until times are better.

You really have not said how your operating this? Are you using conventional transformer? Which one? You CAN unlock it with a conventional transformer with Bell and Whistle. You do not need DCS. G

I plan to run this loco in conventional mode with a Lional 6-32930 transformer. Unfortunately, it is an early PS3 model without the automatic reset feature and was previously run in DCS. Any suggistions? George

sxe60,
You don't need a DCS reset to run conventional. You can unlock the engine by pressing 1 horn, 3 bells and then hear 2 horn blasts to indicate the change.
Or you can do a conventional reset as the others have said above. 1 horn, 5 bells and then hear 2 horn blasts to indicate the change.
The directions on some of the RailKing sets don't have the directions to do this and only say you need a DCS reset to run the DCS REMOTE COMMANDER.
Try one of the above and see if it works. You may have to try a few times to get the timing right at about 1/2 seconds between button presses.
Do not confuse conventional operations and resets with the Memory reset to run on the Remote CDR which acts like a one channel DCS system.
Your instructions should tell you how to do this, or go to a PS-2 instruction. The conventional codes where all the same for the basic reset, unlock, coupler, speed control. G
