So have two engines a 2008(year) lionel lines starter set and a 1970's mighy sound of steam loco. Both  are steam and I love steam locos but o gauge is so expensive and I only have 200$ to spend which is practically nothing for an engine.. im tired of looking at 4-4-2 locos and was wondering whats a good longer engine..? like the polar express berkshire engine but thats just lionel lines. Ican only find the polar or yankees engine and im from c-town (cleveland) so yankees are a no no for me lol anything linger than a 4-4-2 like 4-6-2 illmlove any one known of one for around 200? Thank you!

I've got a Lionel baby berk. (same as the polar express engine with a smaller pilot), that I'd be willing to part with south of $200.00. One of those engines that I haven't run in years and is taking up closet space.

Otherwise, I would go with a postwar 2025/675. Not all that long, but nice driver/side rod action, smooth performance, and a wonderful smell of ozone and smoke.

Can you show pics?

Here's a few pic.'s of the baby berk. in B&O markings. It's a gray and blue engine. I think was a JC Penney's special some years back, and was from Lionel's first run of baby berk.'s. It has a die-cast metal engine and tender, and railsounds, not trainsounds.

Hopefully these pic.'s will help anyone considering a Lionel baby berk.

If you're interested in it, contact me through my profile.

Mear st ignatuis of antioch and im a student at st eds mighty eagles.
