Top of the day to you all!!!
It's almost tea time, and I need some knowlegable, reliable information from some of the guys who work on trains to order some of those INCREDIBLE FAT BOY Speakers they put in that Niagra!!!!
Of all of the dynamite features it has,THE SOUND is what blows me away the most!!!!
I don't know what watt amp they are using in those things, but it makes my MTH sound like a garage band that can't afford equipment!! Being a professional Musician for more than 30 years(Yes,it could be done before the drunk driving laws got tighter),
I know that the QUALITY of your equipment has a lot to do with the whole SONIC experience of moving air around in a way that is pleasant to the listener.
That Niagra sounds LIKE A REAL TRAIN!!!,That throaty, angry rumbling chuff it has blows anything I've ever heard before.
I have also heard people RAVE about those Speakers that MadisonStudios sells.
Money is not an object here,I want them to be IMPRESSIVE!!! If someone knows how to point me back to that thread, where it talks about the Madison Studio speakers please link me in.
I've also been told that they now are using MULTIPLE SPEAKERS with Speaker Enclosures, and I know that's the secret to that rumbling BASS end of the sonic spectrum.
If the sound is on,you're NOT going to miss it.I thought I would be mystified by the pop off steam effect, but that HIGH QUALITY sound adds another dimension to the whole thing,as more of your senses are stimulated.
I would bet they have a 5 watt amp at least, but I really don't know. I found out that the Fat Boy Speakers are made by a company called ESE,but I am not getting the search results I want, and I need to get these speakers by Monday-Wednesday next week,as I have a couple of engines heading out to hands much more experienced than mine for some improvments.
ALL that being said,
Please HELP ME with finding them on the Lionel website,I have not went on it for 4-5 years, and I would not know where to begin finding those EXACT speakers, the FAT BOYS used in the Niagra..I wana try em out.
I'm hoping it will punch my MTH engines up a couple notches, after all we run TRAINS!!!! not Electric Hybrid Cars!!!
Trains are SUPPOSED to be loud, and for me the louder the better,as long as the quality remains, and the speakers do not peak out and distort too much.(Some Distortion OK.)
Remember I am an old Musician!!!!,who no doubt has lost some hearing from drummers Cymbals going off next to my ears for 30 years,
And once and for ALL. I think this is how the impedence is for MTH,please correct me if I have been misinformed. I have heard so many conflicting rules ,I am cornfused!!!
