POWER BASE

POWERMASTER

when l tore down the old layout they worked fine, spent couple hours crawling in and out of cabinets and wired the whole thing,  correctly.

with the engine on the tracks, turned on the base, and picked up controller and tried to connect to the powermaster

no led at all

 no commands accepted

voltage out of base is good, but powermaster seems dead

??

What about the batteries in the remote? Also, are you sure the power supply for the Powermaster is plugged into a live outlet? Sometimes an outlet can go dead. It happened once in my train room because a defective GFI on an outdoor outlet shut down the whole circuit. 

new AA's

voltage out of base is good, but powermaster seems dead tested with simpson 260 (old school analog meter, but in calibration)
