I'm curious how much of it you've got?

Currently a circle and either two or four straight-aways.  I didn't have enough clips/pins to make it all go this year.  It's not enough to make it worth investing in, I'm thinking.  I'd rather have UL-listed track., I'm a fireman who doesn't want to have to replace my stuff after a fire.

JimR34 - FYI in case you aren't already aware of it, Bill Harrison of S&W Parts (also a sponsor of this Forum) is excellent at repairing/restoring vintage Lionel trains, especially if replacement parts are necessary, because he has tons and tons of parts.  In addition, similar to you he's also located in New York State (ie. Niskayuna) near Schenectady.

Really!  That's cool, and much closer to me than Syracuse.  I'll have to look into meeting him, once it's safe to travel.

Good morning, everyone;

I am using SCARM to do my layout.  I have found the piece in the photo, which I do not know the name of, but I am trying to figure out how to use it to make a siding.

It is in the Atlas catalog of rail, in SCARM, the free version.

1  What's it called, so I can cease feeling like an idiot?

2  Is the inside track bit easy to connect to a mirror at the other end, is it part of a circle that won't go together easily, or am I looking at a flexible track, trimmed down?

3  Are there other O-Scale manufacturers who make something similar?  It wasn't in the Lionel list, or the Bachman list.

JimR34 - Forgot to mention that S&W Parts is Lionel Service Station #91 and that Bill has been providing good service to the railroad hobby community for more than 40 years.

I stopped yesterday at the Lionel Service Station #91, and gave him my Chessie System 1993 Steam switcher(?  i think that's what it is), and now I'm awaiting the details of the corrections needed.  He has been in touch with me, and I look forward to my update.  This is the youngest engine I own, and I will be delivering more to him to be repaired, I expect.

So far, I'm happy with the results.

Today's update!

I got a call this morning, so Dad and I drove over to S&W Parts, and picked up the Chessie System engine.  We brought it home and had it running on the tracks.  We had a chat with Bill, and it turns out he refurbs ZW's, so next time I go over, I'll be dropping off the ZW, and maybe buying another one.  It's that or getting a DCC system for the layout in the office.  That just means I will have a harder time running the older engines, I think.  It will require more reading.

I also dropped off two other engines, so I'm looking forward to them coming home.

For your enjoyment, I include a bit of running time.
