Are there any other steam locomotives aside from the GS engines?

Vision Line Steel Refer 3-packs with freight car sounds (PRR, PFE, MDT, SF)
Vision Line Stock Car 3-Packs with freight and cattle sounds (Armour, ATSF, CB&Q, MKT, CP, CNW)
The Vision Line SP 5-Car Freight set pulled by a black GS-4 also has the stock cars and refer cars plus a non-vision-line scale caboose)

😶 there goes my wallet! What do the PRR reefers look like?
N&WGuy posted:Are there any other steam locomotives aside from the GS engines?
Reading T-1 in 7 variations
B6 0-6-0 Switchers in 8 names (4 PRR, GN, Bethlehem Steel, MILW, SantaFe)
N&WGuy posted:20centuryhudson posted:What do you mean hybrid?
It’ll probably be a Brass Hybrid from the sound of it. Lots of extra details!
And lots of extra $$.
Given how streamlined the Daylights were, one has to wonder how many more details they can put on it that the current engines don't already have. Guess we'll see, if indeed they're in the catalog.

Do the B6 switchers have whistle smoke? Any subways?

What's a BS switcher?
Trainlover9943 posted:What do the PRR reefers look like?
Tuscan red roof and ends with yellow sides and basic lettering.
Are they going to produce a SOO LINE diesel loco in the 1962-1973 era scheme?

A "BS" switcher is more commonly referred to as a "typo"
They're "B6" 0-4-0 switchers.

The B6s are 0-6-0s. Do they have whistle steam?

Not in this catalog.
Legacy Diesels:
E8 A-A pairs in Frisco, NYC, DL&W, Southern, ugly Amtrak patch-job, and the Juinata Terminal PRR Restoration scheme)
Train Masters in FM, DL&W, Southern, SP Black Widow, and Virginian
More SD40s in CP Rail, C&O, CNW, GM&O, CNJ, and an ugly CSX-C&O mash-up thing.
ES44AC in BNSF, UP, KCS de Mexico, CSX Law Enforcement scheme, CSX First Reponders Scheme, CSX dark future, CSX Veterans, and SVTX Lease Unit

On second look, there is indeed another wheel hiding under all that running gear, so yeah, 0-6-0. Sorry, I'm not a steam guy.
Catalog says "Standard Legacy Steam Features"
Thanks.
Since there will be a pair of the Ex-DT&I Grand Trunk Western SD38 diesel locos coming in 2020, it will be fine if there are no SOO LINE SD40s this year.

I'm waiting for them to get around to doing a Soo tuscan pine tree scheme Geep.
The highly-detailed O scale extended-vision caboose has not yet been produced in the Grand Trunk Western scheme. I wonder if 2020 will be the year they can make one.

What is the add items that make the new GS's a vision line?

Good question... I 2nd that
The CSX ES44s are no surprise. I am shocked, however, that they still haven't done a Canadian Pacific ES44 since the Vision hybrid nearly a decade ago.

Are there any Union Pacific E9s in there too? And for steam locomotives any 20th Century Limited or Southern 1401, or even Frisco 1522?
S gauge American Flyer? Any info appreciated.

Any postwar inspired items?

Are there any Virginian freight cars or caboose to go with the Virginian Trainmaster?
Trainlover9943 posted:Any subways?
Nope. Just the diesels and steamers already listed above. Visionline takes up most of the high end product space this time.

Not this time. Just the stuff that was already mentioned. It's all pretty fantastic stuff though.
What road # on the c&o sd40
I hope they have samples of the steam and vision rolling stock at the Show in Springfield a week from Saturday
richtrow posted:They are making Vision Line GS-1, GS-2, GS-3, GS-4, GS-5, and GS-6 in various road names and configurations. Many have matching scale passenger cars. (SP Lark, SP Golden State, American Freedom Train, Chessie Steam Special, SP 5-Car Freight set, and SP Daylight w/ passenger cars)
Twenty-seven GS series locomotives in all.
GS1. Never done in 3 rail O. I've been wanting one for years, but at $2K+ it's going to be well out of my price range.
Now the GS2-GS6 have been done to death in 3 rail O scale. Why they would choose this for a Vision Line brass hybrid locomotive is beyond me (well I know, easy sales). It's incredibly easy to find scale GS2-GS6s from MTH, Lionel, or 3rd rail, and they aren't exactly horribly expensive. I can get them all day long in the $400-600 range. Doesn't seem worth the extra $1K+ to have steam shoot out when I toot the whistle.
The GS1 is a great idea. But if you're doing a brass hybrid tooling cost is minimal. Make something that hasn't been done before in 3 rail O. Santa Fe 3400 class Pacific, Southern Pacific AC-4 cab forward. Things that can use existing running gear with different boilers. Heck there are probably dozens of road specific Mikados that'll fit their light or heavy Mike chassis. But more streamlined GS2-GS6 class Northerns? Pass. Overdone.

I suspect there will be a heightened effort to keep closer control of color palettes.

A.J
I have been waiting for a Pennsy T1 for years. I think a Vision Line PRR T1 that has one set of drivers that can spin like they are losing traction and the wheel slip sound effect would be great. I guess my wallet is safe for this catalog as I already have a B6 which is a great engine.
