Does anybody know the height requirement of this new Monorail or the original for that matter? It lists the cars at 8&1/4 inches in length.

Hi Mike,
I have the MTH set and the cars are 2 1/2 inches high. They run about 6 1/2 inches high above my layout base (Homosote). Mine cross over other O gauge tinplate tracks with no problems. Hopefully you have room for it. I'm getting another one.

I don't have the dimensions handy, but we used to have ours crossing above Standard Gauge tracks and we had to extend the uprights for clearance.
