Alan, I am sure you and Alex will do a great job. Be sure to have a photo of Ben and Vinny included.
Alan I hope to follow your new project all the way to completion. I know it will be OUTSTANDING!!!
How many GPM are you planning on it being able to produce? I do understand that those guys like their SUDS ;P;
Maybe you can make it with a direct tap! Hope to see it in January.
This is going to be an operating brewery, correct?
Now this will have to be amazing with the two of you collaborating on the same project! Will be following this closely! Terry
Alex, where is it going on the layout? Down by the helix?
Marty,
I was going to try to make a model of both of those guys and place them on the loading dock.
Joe/Don,
I can only supply the brewery with Corona Light and I do not think Ben would appreciate that too much.
Dennis,
I do not know where this is going on the layout but Alex may know.

Hi Alan & Alex
That is starting to look good. Corona Light!!!!!!!!! Do you think we are modeling Mexico City. This will be the first expansion of the Ballantine Brewery in awhile. It will sit along side the Pipe Company in the Northeast corner of the layout past the helix and right next to the original Ballantine brewery
I second Joe's question, this will be a working model, right?
With you and Alex heading up this project, success is assured!
Just completed the storage tanks less painting, piping and lights. I have to get them filled right away because this brewery will not be constructed without an ample supply of beer.

Alan, If you need any help on getting some brew going quick I know some guys down in the hills that are looking for some indoor work right now
Looks like good progress on the project.
Hi Alan,
Wow it's looking great so far, this is going to be an awesome brewery when we're done
Alex
That's coming along great, nice detail.

Alex... you forgot "ANOTHER" awesome brewery when you guys are done!
Here are some more pictures of the progress on the brewery. Putting up the walls and bracing them in a building this large takes a lot of time.

Looking great Alan, love those spiral stairs!

That's really awesome Alan. How thick is styrene for the walls? It looks hefty.
I'm getting thirsty
Excellent construction, Alan!
To follow up on Tim's question (above) - what material did you use for the walls?
Thank you for sharing.
Alex
Tim/Alex,
The siding material is from Evergreen. They have a few different types of corrugated siding. This one is called board and batten (ribbed metal siding). It can be purchased in sheet sizes as large as 12" x 24". It is .040" thick. That is the maximum thickness at the ribs, so it still requires plenty of reinforcement. I use .060" styrene sheet cut into 1/2-inch wide strips. I usually run them on 3 to 4-inch centers horizontally on the inside. Where I cut window or door openings, I add some vertical strips.

For those that never saw it the bottle that Alan modeled was on top of the Hoffman soda plant in Newark. It later became the Pabst brewery Alan and the NJ HiRailers relocated the bottle to the Ballantine brewery down the block
Hi Alan,
This brewery is going too be a show stopper, that bottle looks awesome.
I have another surprise to add to this brewery soon
Alex
Beer flavored Smoke?
Beer flavored Smoke?
Dennis,
can't give the Surprise away LOL
Alex
Just added some color to some of the pieces of the brewery. The color of the beer bottle is an attempt to replicate a Ballantine Ale Bottle
