Swafford,
Thank you for posting this video. Those are some good looking locomotives. Seems like the ES44DCi locomotives that GE made for Rio Tinto mining in the same region in Western Australia as Roy Hill but I like the paint scheme on these Roy Hill locomotives better. These Roy Hill locomotives seem to have the longer frame & radiator as the Rio Tinto ES44DCi but without the 5-sided front windshields as in the older CN ES44DC & the Rio Tinto ES44DCi.
These are just my opinion,
Thanks,
Naveen Rajan
Enjoyed the preview, thanks for posting.
That is an interesting paint scheme! Almost milkcow-ish. Lol.
In this link at the end of your video, another interesting paint scheme .... unusual yellow ... in these GE units destined for Africa.
Starts at the 1:23 mark ....
Just came across 2 photos & some information on these GE export Evolution locomotives for Roy Hill. Seems like Roy Hill is also aspiring after autonomous train operation like local rival Rio Tinto.

Wow Jim, there's even pics at the end at the Juniata shop. They have a centennial there??
Quite a variety of loads on the first train, even a 4 wheeled scale test car! I wonder where that UP DD-40 came from?
Here's a couple of photos that I took this summer at the Port of Erie, PA. Some of those same meter gauge engines were loaded directly into a ship there and travelled out through the St Lawrence Seaway to the Atlantic, and on to Africa.
Roy Hill is a mining operation owned by Australian magnate Gina Rinehardt, daughter of Lang Hancock, the father of Aussie Iron Ore mining. Interesting to see the new paint, I wish MTH or Lionel would do some of these Aussie liveries some time.
Thanks. This is cool video. I liked it.
Dave: certainly there must be someone (you?) you can re-paint and re-label locos in your neck of the woods. I would think there might be quite a market for local-specific RR livery in Australia. These are handsome locos.
Neat videos
Well done videos.
