Hey guys. Here is my latest video. It features my Lionel Challenger #3985 pulling a string of Lionel UP passenger cars. I call the train the "Employee Special". The Challenger looks and performs great for a 22-year-old locomotive.

Included is an auxiliary tender (#6 - 38007) from 2001 and (7) passenger cars.

My Challenger is Lionel #6 - 28064 built in 2000. The passenger cars are Lionel #6 - 25433 (4 pack), #6 - 25438 (2 pack) and the Diner #6 - 25441. There is a total of (7) cars and they were manufactured in 2005. They are the highly sought after all aluminum 18" cars with fully detailed interiors and seated passengers. The cars are called the "City of Denver" and originally offered with a F3 ABBA set of diesel locomotives (future video).

I hope you enjoy the video. If so, please leave a "like" and / or a comment. Also, please consider subscribing to my Channel to receive up to date notifications of all my new videos. Thanks!

Thanks, appreciate the positive comments. Sorry about the smoke. A personal preference. I run my Diesels 98% of the time. My few steam locomotives only see track time once or twice a year. I do not like to fill them with fluid and then let them sit for 11 months between layout time.

Surprised to learn Lionel (or any manufacturer) sold populated passenger cars! Great video!

Hey Mark. Their 18” aluminum passenger cars featured decent interior details and passengers. Unfortunately, they have not been produced for quite a while. To me, they were the high water mark with Lionel passenger cars. My personal opinion. I am not a big fan of the new all plastic 21” cars.
