Thanks Rich! some of us on facebook were wondering if there was going to be an up date.
Thanks Rich.
Rich, Thanks.
Thanks Rich.
What has been accomplished by these folks is quite amazing.
Personally, I'd like very much to see the 763 up and running again.
If only we could find an engineer with experience operating an NKP Berkshire in the area.....

I'll look around and see if I can find One.

Given that 759 is imprisoned in a black hole called "Steamtown" I think her chances of ever running again are pretty slim.
you're probably right Rich, but you never know. $$ changes peoples minds. Just look at 763.

The only engineer with experience operating an NKP Berkshire that I know of is some cranky old man that keep screaming at the kids to stay off his grass!
HAHAHAHA
Its interesting that piles are required to support the buildings footings. Is this located in an area where the soil has a deep soft layer at the surface (as in an ancient riverbed), or was the land a former landfill or something similar?
PRR Man, I can answer your question with one word...CLAY. Bedrock is over 60 feet down in that part of Ohio.
There are several brick companies in that area of Ohio because of the abundance of high quality clay. Belden Brick, the company that supplied all the brick, is only a few miles away.
Great photos, more excellent progress. Thanks Rich.
