I came across a neon led lit building at Toy R Us for the Cars movie series. It has great neon light effects. Hunting down some more buildings. I purchased the original cars Movie Radiator Springs buildings when they were out many years back and have designed a model train display featuring the buildings and trains for the local train shows that I display at. Have shown them for a few years and it has always been a popular display. The buildings had some nice light effects but limited.

The new Precision series by Mattel have much improved Neon effects that look great with the model train layout. They can be powered with a 4.5 volt wall wart, and have a continuous button to keep the lights on for a show. There are different patterns of light shows with the various lights flashing on and off and different colors.

11 buildings to come out for Radiator springs.

1/43 scale vehicles are a bit large for this but it looks good with the smaller cars vehicles and 1/50 scale models.

These are really great and would look good on any 'toy'-type 3-rail layout. Better yet, the batteries can be replaced easily from underneath. You can turn off the electronics to save battery power as well.

Good luck finding these at a local Toys R Us. Most of them are bought immediately by 'scalper' types who immediately list them on eBay for way more than retail.

In fact, when I was lucky enough to find one of these Sarge Surplus huts (I collect anything with the Sarge character as I own a real WW2 Jeep), the gal at the checkout commented that she thought it was a shame that so few of these ever get taken out of the box as most of the items like they sell are going to eBay. She smiled widely when I told her, "Not this one, it's coming out of the box and going on a shelf with my other Sarge stuff!" She even replied that she was happy it was actually going to someone who'd appreciate it, instead of, "one of those 'American Picker' types we see in here every day."
