The Norfolk Southern  DL&W Heritage loco #1074 will be on site along with cosmetically restored GG1  4877.

 

These volunteers are truly working hard and getting the job done.

 

Look forward to seeing some of the OGR "train guys"

 

$5 gets you in . Usually open to public once or twice  a year.

Thanks for uploading pic of DL&W  Heritage engine 1074

 

Yes,  a large  crowd showed up and it was well organized and attended.. Nice to see the young families getting involved. Opening the ex DL&W freight station

for the clubs--was also  a nice surprise.

 

The DL&W Tri State caboose #896 was the perfect fit with NS engine.

Appreciated how the members invited all in  and spoke with everyone.

 

Interesting to know how the caboose got there. From the Whippany Museum

the M&E RR exchanged it at Dover, NJ..

Then the Heritage engine took 896 over the Boonton line. Fans

who knew-- got some great shots last Thursday. 

The 896 should return early this week to Dover.-perhaps coupled with the 1074 -
