Started up my Lionel u30 (6-38423) this afternoon and discovered that it did not have any sounds (no horn, engine, bell, crew talk). It was fine when I stopped running last night. This is a new Legacy model that I purchased in June. It probably has about 5 hours on it. I did a reprogram of the engine to no avail. Any thoughts of what to do next.

Did you check the volume on the remote? I would also try turning the volume pot on the engine itself, sometimes they need a little exercise.

Hit AUX-1 then number 3 on the keypad.
I went up to my train room and turned the layout on. Started the engine up and everything worked. I never adjusted anything. I am going to print out this conversation and file it away for future use.
