I would guess that tracks stuck in the down position must be the railroad equivalent of a pothole.

All kidding aside (but not for too long), I have to give the devil her due.  The County does a pretty good job of keeping us posted as to road and other issues.

 Me too. 

Clifton VA is a one-crossing town and a commuter route.  Depending on exactly when this occurred it was a minor nuisance or major snarl.
