I think street numbers on buildings that are realistic and in order up and down the street are just one detail that adds to the realism of a layout. Every building in this photo has a consecutive street number on it, some painted, one stamped with metal stamp #s, the 301 closest is small plastic numbers glued on, etc. Engraved signs are a neat touch. Laser do it?
