I was wondering if the OGR team ever thought of doing a podcast? Seems like there is enough knowledge and interesting people on this forum to fill hours.
Just curious.

That is an interesting idea...I would also love to see Notch 6 have some of the really experienced members or clubs featured on the show!!

Seeing Rich Melvin in that video gave me the idea. Lots of stories, experience, humor and many subjects available it would seem.
Derek,
There are a ton of possibilities...for individuals I think some of the guys with the best projects would be great. I would like to hear from Alex Millae, Alex (Ingeniero No. 1) and Lee Willis as a start. I would also like to hear from some of the big clubs like NJ Hi-railers, Mid-America 3 Railers and Angel's Gate Highraillers.
I will caveat this by noting that the names above are the tip of the ice berg....as there are so many forum members and clubs that I have learned from since joining.

Derek....not only could you do this on Notch 6 but a feature on OGR's Facebook page would be something for us to do....a tie in between the forum, Notch 6, and our Facebook page highlighting certain folks here on the forum as well as the OGR team, etc.
Alan
Besides Derek's podcast their is Model Rail Radio
I call into Model Rail Radio on a regular basis. I also host what we call OSC (off show chats) using Skype. Last Saturday we had 5 Canadian's, one gentleman in Australia and many from the USA. A lot of fun. If you want more info on Model Rail Radio or the OSC let me know.
The OSC & Model Rail Radio is for all scales and gauges and all prototypes
Derek does a great job on Notch 6 of editing the responses he solicits. This is something for which myself, Al Kolis of the LCCA and others, who shall remain nameless, are VERY grateful
Great Idea of Alan's to do something similar on our OGR Facebook page along with Derek of Notch 6.
Ed Boyle
I think Barry would be a good guest discussing DCS as would someone discussing Legacy.
Gunner John about repairs.
Pick a person that has done something great or unique on a layout. Structure, paint job etc.
Various OGR mag staff members talking in detail about some articles or experiences while doing them.
I will think of more later....
Thanks for the ideas Turtle. I've got a notebook filled with future show ideas. I'll make sure these get in there.
Someone from the Big Boy restoration project talking about it would be good too.
The guys from Cass that wrench on the Shays would be interesting too.
