Old lionel 182 crane, repair schematic needed!

Is this a command controlled crane or PW?  If PW you would be better posting this in 3 rail or electrical section.  G

Sticking plungers in the clutch solenoids. Spray them with Tuner cleaner from Radio Shack. No Lube.

George i re posted this in electrical and none reviews of the forum at all , and yes it is conventional. it is from 1946 to 1949 years believe it has one motor and two solenoids  to make the crane operate!

The motors are double O Gauge and parts are hard to find,I got my schematic from the TCA Library.

Info on these cranes seem tough.  I'm still looking for a printable copy of the owners pamphlet for the 165.

It would seem that you've been given more than enough information to get started. There is so much information out there. It's up to you to fill in the blanks. Many on the forum have created their on reference library. If you are determined to do these types of repairs you might should look into starting one of your own. In doing so your frustration level might be less.  Just a thought.
