Check out the K-Line diecast coal hoppers on E-Bay. Some pretty good prices on these guys. Back in their hey day K-Line was the industry leader in diecast rolling stock.

Buying diecast does keep you from having to apply weights doesn't it! They also look much better as they really are metal instead of plastic. You can really see the difference when you park a metal car next to a plastic one. The molded in color of plastic just doesn't look like the real painted metal of those diecast cars.
