We will be taking the Silver Meteor from Jacksonville,FL to NYC. I know there is parking at the station but there is no guarantee of a spot. We will be driving up from Gainesville so I need a plan B in case the lot is full.
Anyone have any ideas?

What a dive. It is hard to imagine that they could have found a worse location. Maybe park downtown and take a cab to the Amtrak station.
If you will be arriving at odd hours that the parking garage is closed, you could choose a hotel parking area or even the Jacksonville International Airport (though that would be a long taxi ride).
Our local stations allow you to get a pass which is displayed on your dashboard to prevent commuters and general rabble from taking up all of the spots. Perhaps JAX does that too? Or should.
