Patriotic Railroad Advertising- Happy July 4th!

My major in college was Marketing, so I always was interested in the patriotic ads that railroads used during World War II.

The Pennsylvania Railroad was among the most prolific of railroads using advertising to get their message across.

The third ad, Molly Pitcher 1944, was part of an article I wrote for the Pennsylvania Railroad Technical & Historical Society for their Winter 2015 edition of their quarterly magazine, The Keystone.

What are some of your favorite patriotic railroad ads from WWII or any other time?

Here are some more recent contributions from ads and/or timetables from Penn Central and Amtrak. Yes, even Penn Central known for its use of black locomotives could afford some color every now and then!

fi I had more available wall space, i would have more. I was granted permission from The Boss to display some of my train items in the living room.

well she get's a little snippy when I try to move one of the kids pictures to put more train stuff up....I brought home another PRR lantern the other day that was my Uncles, now I have two in here.
