Found this interesting bit of modeling history for a real bargain.  While a fantasy scheme, it certainly will fit in with my fleet of hand-me-down diesels used on the NY&LB near the ends of their careers.  Nicely detailed for the age of the model but like typical Rivarossi, very lightweight.  I assume it will only pull a few cars at best.

Nice looking engine wtg

Sorry 'bout that earlier Mark. Had emailed the pics from my phone 2 feet away to my iMac and was waiting for them to arrive. Eventually they did and were posted.  Here are some more of the 2 head end cars I received today from Trainz.  The Weaver RPO is unusual and beautiful. Was unaware of these until recently after buying a Lionel SR RPO from the same tooling. Am looking for a nice PRR 72' Heavyweight Combine car in red or green

Worth the waiting, nice looking K4 and sharp looking cars.

Here's an O-Line Reproductions (rebrand of K-Line) semi-scale GG-1 #4902 in ARR livery, that celebrated the 100th anniversary of the completion of our nation's first transcontinental railroad:

The prototype was repainted in this livery by PC in 1969 for the above-mentioned celebration and, as I have posted elsewhere, she pulled the highly-popular "Golden Spike Centennial Limited" on the final leg (Baltimore to New York) of her return trip from Ogden, Utah on May 19, 1969. Afterward, #4902 remained in this livery for some time in passenger service and that is how I am imagining her above hauling Williams (pre-WbB) reproduction of Lionel's 1955 "Congressional" set.

I was inspired to get this model by Patrick W's (@trumpettrain) recent post showing K-Line's cabin car in the same ARR livery. Ironically, I got this loco NIB from forum sponsor Patrick's Trains. She's a nice conventional runner.

Looking good Bill nice find. Mark

In my quest to apparently find even more accurate PRR road power I ran across this pair of rather unique switchers.

With a face only a European grandmother could love, here is an AHM switcher made by Roco in the 1970's.  I'm wondering how I might be able to make it more US looking, but I kind of like it as is too.

If you think this can't be topped, here is one of the more unusual paint schemes I've seen on a PRR locomotive.  Switcher for the Congressional anyone?  This is a Rivarossi product.

Picked up this US Hobbies mill gondola for a great price.  It is numbered and labeled as a G27, but I believe this is a G33 prototype based on the length and number of panels.  What do the PRR experts think?  It measures about 68 scale feet end to end, and about 70 feet between the coupler faces.  This was done with a tape measure so don't hold me to an exact dimension.  A really neat addition to my freight car fleet that I've been doing some selective additions to.

Sharp looking gondola, thanks for posting!

It took some work to find this thread now that the name has been changed!  I'll remember it now.  We are well over 15 days of 110 plus temperatures during the heat of the day but got a little "cabin" fever on a day off after washing my Z and Frontier early this morning to photograph some PRR additions to my fleet.

Precision Scale N6b with centered cupola compared to my offset cupola version:

Also ran across this CA Zephyr 10-6 at a price I couldn't say no to.  Excited to have some PRR heritage on one of my premier non-PRR trains.

Was hoping to draw in more great looking items of the Pennsylvania R.R. from PW Lionel to the great looking modern engines and rolling stock of all makers and all scale. Thanks for posting! Mark

I thought this was interesting and tried to find a prototype for it.  There are several photos of PRR MoW cars on the web, many ex-passenger/head end cars similar to this one with black roofs (probably tar to stop leaks).  There is one that is very close to this (ex-RPO?) car but with a slightly different baggage door.  However, none had division markings nor the red PRR heralds.  I have an extra 18" RPO with the correct circular windows I may make MoW, but gray for my era.
