The Petaluma and Santa Rosa trolley ran from 1904 tell diesels took over in 1947. It was an interesting little California electric line. Two home made steeple cabs did most of the freight work. Don

I remember Rio Vista Junction having a P&SR trolley in their collection when I volunteered there. It was a double ended unit with a baggage section on one end and coach seating in the other 2/3s. I remember it being painted a cream color with red trim and had an arc headlamp that was difficult to get working correctly but very, very bright when it did work.
The trolley you speak of in Rio Vista was still there as of 2016. I actually had a chance to write on it.
