Kato has the unitrack city scape blocks, and Noch makes a full layout board all in N and Z scale, I did see an HO one recently but forgot the name.

I really like that concept......I post the smae thing on a EZ Street thread we had. But in O scale.....costly I am sure.
Hi FlyerRich and Guys, I missed this thread back in February, but when I saw this picture, it reminded me of My James Bond 007 Race Car Set that I got for Christmas. It was made by Gilbert and the size and look of the box your set came in are very similar (except that mine has JAMES BOND on it). I found this picture and story about this set:

I remember seeing the James Bond car set in catalogs when I was a kid. Boy did it look neat!
As for the All Aboard sets: in theory it was an interesting concept. In practice, the panels did not allow enough flexibility to make an interesting layout (for me)
This has probably already been mentioned: Pikemaster referred to a style of truck and track, not these panels. The panels did have Pikemaster track mounted to them.
Brewman1973, I remember seeing both of these toys in the Montgomery Wards store circa 1966. Wish Lionel could modernize those Westener type panels for production. You could have an instant layout available for 'S' guage.

The stuff is gorgeous. The basic city block "set" retails $250.00. No trams, no powerpack, no structures. Multiply by several times if it was in O: UNITRAM

I had the Bond race set. A Fantastic concept but mine never rally worked well. I expected it to work as well as my Lionel trains......but it never did. My brother and I ended up using our Matchbox cars on it....using it like a big playset. Wish I still had it.
I've owned American Flyer, Lionel (non-scalextric), Atlas, Strobecker (home) and Aurora slot cars.
IMHO, none of the larger sized cars were well made. Lionel HO slotcars seem to be Atlas knock-offs, they work fairly well, but not as well as the Aurora with pancake motors.
