shows the "Midwest Traction Hub" (3 MTH PCCs running on 1 loop) operating at the 2-day, 2022 "31st Will Huffman Toy Train Expo" in Williamsport PA.
~~~~~
More FYI Info:
- This system has a PUBLIC PUSH BUTTON -- so the 3 cars sit and wait until a member of the public pushes the button then each of the 3 takes a trip around the loop.
- This system is controlled using a simple DCC programmable train controller (Mini-Panel) manufactured in Webster NY (near Rochester NY) by the NCE corporation.
- This system requires NO BLOCKS in the track, just 1 Z-Stuff (or similar) infrared detector sitting NEXT to the track (not attached to the track).
- Use of toggle switches on the "control board" allows the cars to optionally blow their horns part way around the loop, make a station stop, or make a station stop while going through their 'announcement cycle'.
- The 'STATUS LIGHT' shows GREEN when the controller is Idle, and changes to RED when the controller is 'Busy' running the cars.
- A "REPEAT" toggle switch controls whether the cars run just 1 cycle and stop, or whether they will keep running continuously.
