The original thread has basically died at this point, so I thought I'd start it anew.
If you have a PS1 engine, steam or diesel, Premier or RailKing, and if you have the ability to run it, feel free to post a video of it in action here!

MTH PS1 Premier J. New to me and NOS.
How may videos would you like to see? I have quite a few MTH PS-1 engines that I run regularly – obviously under conventional control – all with BCRs. They're fine for loop running. Here is New Haven Railroad EP-5 #371. I bought it new...

MTH CNW E4 in PS1. She pulls the 7 car Overland passenger cars. I also add 3 Weaver CNW express boxcars to the head end, sometimes also a Lionel REA express boxcar.
MTH CNW Doodlebug. I bought it as a PS 1 locomotive but since converted it to TMCC so I can run it on our club's layout.
My favorite. CNW NW2, bought it in PS1, ditto on the conversion to TMCC.

Would've been nice to hear the horn. A beautiful set.
Thanks Matt. The EP-5 has a terrific and realistic horn but I take the videos while holding the phone with both hands and away from the transformer... Sorry.

I’ve owned and run MTH Premier PRR G-5s #5740 with PS-1 for about 20 years. It's one of my favorites. For loop-running on my layouts, conventional operation is satisfactory even without speed control.
