Is there a secret to keeping the roller pin in the postwar ZW transformer from slipping. Recently the upper roller pin on the right side has been slipping down obstructing the lower roller. Otherwise it’s a fine transformer and when everything is in place the control arms operate smoother than any other transformer I own. I’d appreciate any suggestions y’all may have.

Did you insert the pin with the head towards the top? The head usually ends up flat against the top of the bracket, and has no where to slip.
Thanks for the reply C W, I'll check that. I didn't install it so I'm not sure how it was inserted.
I put the pin in,then use a small vice grip to "peen" the end . The vice grips have a waffle grid . I clamp the pin in the jaws and crush the end just a little. Not to tight.
