If you find yourself doing anything fancy with LEDs or any other 12vdc devices, this item is worth a look:

These things are kind of a swiss army knife for 12V control. In addition to being able to fully control a RGBW LED strip, it can also do four separate independent LED sets; it can turn four DC motors or other devices on and off; the outputs are PWM, so you can properly dim LEDs, or control the speed of many DC motors; can be programmed to turn things on and off under time control; it can be triggered via a physical switch; and much more. It is programmed via WiFi using a browser, but once set up, you don't need to connect to it again. OTOH, if you like, it can be set up to join your home wifi so that you can continue to control and adjust it directly from any web browser--no cloud necessary. Multiple units can talk to each other, so many lights/devices can be coordinated automatically.

I don't mean to come across as a fanboy, but these things are the best thing since sliced bread.

This looks like it might be nice sometime in the future but right now I just want to power some lights I don’t have yet. Thanks for the response.
