I have a Lionel 0-6-0T steamer and I need to get the heavy metal superstructure off for a rebuilding. I think I have removed all screws that could possibly holding this in place, but no luck. It won't budge. Any help would be appreciated.

Please don't consider your question stupid. There are plenty of people here who will be glad to help you once you post the model number of your locomotive.

Your post really doesn't belong in this category. It probably belongs in the Hi-Rail, O27 and Traditional 3-Rail O Gauge category.

IIRC...on the bottom, there are two screws in the center and two in the steam chest. Looking at the rearend of the locomotive are two more screws. Lastly, there are two braces/rods that connect to the front....they just swing away from the boiler.
