Problems with atlas O switches and voltage problems.

I have a Yard that has atlas O track and switches in it. In my engine service area I have a Y but when i drive an engine across it to go to the siding once the first truck of my Railking CSX SD70ACE crosses it the engine dies and shuts down.

The second Problem is all of my Lionel engines without The Odyssey System which is All of my Lionel engines Except one. They have problems where they go really fast on the areas with terminal joiners and then stop on other area so i have to move the cab 1's throttle upand then the engine goes too fast.

How many feet of track total and how many connections are there?
