Layout looks great. I think I am now convinced I also need a second level and using the viaduct items you have used looks like a neat idea. I will have to see how I can add this into my plans. Do you know what grade you have there? It doesn't look like an extremely long grade which I think I may be able to accomodate? Looks can be deceiving on a video though.
Mike thanks!!!
Brent thanks!!!
Johnny thanks for all of your help !!!!
Ben it has an attachment for cleaning rugs !!!
Don thanks!!!
Mike G thanks very much !!!
Bryan thanks buddy !!!!
EML thanks!!!
Doug N thanks !!!
RTR12 thanks. the grade is 4.33 percent according to our fellow forum members. In my opinion as long as the track work on the grade is done meticulously it shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks to all, Alex
Thanks Alex, that is encouraging. I have seen others with pretty steep grades and also read posts that say keep them less than a certain percentage which make them too long for my space. Yours looks great and also looks like it works just as well. I think I can get one planned now and feel better about it. I really do want a second level connected to the lower level.
Looking fantastic Alex!! I would love to see it in person someday. I really like the viaduct bridges ( perhaps from Bridgeboss or NJHR?). This is going to be a completely different layout than your first one and it looks like it will be even better!!
Alan
Looking good! Keep up the good work!
Wow, Looks great Alex, keep up the good work.

Your layout looks good. You are doing a very nice job with it. Enjoy the construction.

Looks real good Alex. Keep us posted on your progress.
Hi guys,
RTR12, keep us posted on your progress, when you start doing your upper level
Alan, thanks. Yes this layout is completely different from my first one, i want to stay as close to scale as i can. The viaducts are from Jim at Bridge Boss. The large bridge on my layout is from the NJ-Hirailers. You're welcomed here anytime.
Alan G, thanks buddy
Rich, thanks buddy

Pat, thanks. I will keep you all posted.
Thanks, Alex
Hi Alex.
Your videos are just fantastic, wish I had that kind of talent. Love those viaducts as you might expect.
Thanks much.

Thanks for the interest in my addition, but it will probably be a while. It will be part of an expansion to my existing 6'x16' layout. I have been working on a plan for at least a year, not sure I am much farther along than when I started. If I ever get a final plan I will post the progress. Your layout's grades and viaducts may have helped with some of the stumbling blocks though.

Hi Dave
i used Woodland scenics shaper sheet, and also their rock molds. I did a full thread on this method a while back, if I can find it I'll post it here. It's quite easy and enjoyable to do
Dave here's the link the that post

Hi alex,
Looks great, looking forward to seeing it in person. My Amtrak train is ready to roll, I hope it will fit. It has 18 21" cars and 2 18" baggage cars, plus a WBB ABBA FA diesel set. The lead A and both B are powered with the new sound board, trailing A is dummy.
Alex...love the progress....the rockwork is great!! BUT...I can't figure out how you are making progress on the railroad and at the same time you are always at the beach!!!!!!
Alan
Alan, he takes the platform to the beach with him.
Hi Pete thanks !! Wow that's a lot of cars !
Alan I'm a around the clock type of worker, building models, upgrading and repairing Lionel engines, and building my layout. Needless to say never a dull moment. The beach time is the only rest time I get LOL!!!
GRJ lol if I could I would !!!
Thanks, Alex
