I just purchased this used from a fellow forum member and the rear coupler was damaged in shipping. What's the easiest fix at this point. It's Amtrak Genesis Cab # 805 PS1 from the ready to run set, not sure the exact MTH #.
I'd check on ebay. One for a steam engine just finished unsold, you'd probably have to change the connection on the chassis side, but the coupler arm should be the same. ( ask the seller for photos and measurements )
Just replace the whole coupler. Will need to be able to solder the wires on. Just need to know if it is Long 51mm or short 44mm. I have them in stock. G
I'm finally getting around to this. Does it matter which wire goes where? The PS1 coupler is slightly different so I'll have to cut the plug and solder them. The existing coupler wires immediately go into shrink-wrap so hard to trace which is which from the coupler.
