PS2 3V U8 resistor

Prodding along with my PS2 3v repairs! Got sound (muffled) and one direction motor with my first patient, so far. Took a closer look in physically comparing 3 boards I have, and noticed that U8 has a resistor between pins 1 & 2 on two out of three of my boards. I have to assume the previous owner neglected to notice the missing part when he "replaced" U8. Kind of easy to spot when the chip is misaligned. Nonetheless, if anyone has a part #, OR has an un-repairable PS2 3V board I can buy for parts, please let me know. Many thanks to the OGR Group!

It's a 10K resistor, looks to be about the 0402 form factor. Not sure what they're doing with it, the output enable would be negative when the gates were turned on. Maybe that pin is driven by an open drain and not an active circuit.

Needs to be there. Again, a search will discuss this. In fact when removing U-8, remove it WITHOUT taking resistor off. Putting it back without shorting legs is a real pain. G

That is a TINY resistor, that's for sure! I assumed it probably had to be there or they wouldn't have gone to the trouble of putting it there.
