Used for stocking fish in rivers and lakes in Wisconsin, before the highways were built. Fishing has been an important business for WI, so the state made sure there were plenty of fish. And, "The Chicago Outfit" made sure there were plenty of girls "stocked" in brothels adjacent to the "sportsmens" towns!
John - What did the Aquarium use this car for? Transporting specimens from the ocean, inland? Might you know what became of the car?
That Nautilus Pullman car is awesome, I wish someone would make one, I'd buy it in a heart beat.

The mini-series, Ultimate Restorations, also covers the overhaul of Sierra #3. I only caught the tail end of the fish car episode, but I saw the whole Sierra #3 one, and think this series is one of the best I've seen in a long time.
