Both heavyweight and lightweight Pullman and Pullman Standard cars have Plan Numbers. This Plan should include interior arrangements.

The Pullman Project website has a downloadable Excel database containing just about all the individual cars made associating them with the railroads they were owned by after 1948.

Once you find what you are looking for then search the Newberry Library for drawings. There are some drawings on line but they generally aren't very readable. To get readable copies you have to order from them.

Thanks guys!  I've looked at both places, but haven't found much on "plan numbers" for coaches.  Even in my books they usually call them by number of seats or length of car.

ACL had some Pullman coaches that were initially 88-seats then converted to 52 seats (reclining), probably got AC and sealed windows at the same time.

I guess I could get a couple of the ASCC HW sleepers off the list of Lou Cross cars (and not let the tiny passengers make them into beds), but I was hoping to snag a couple of genuine coaches ACL owned.  Maybe K-Line had some that will work.
