PW Horn/Whistle Relay question

Some relays have more brass tabs and insulators on them than others. But you can swap those out if you have the old one.

Up to the first set of contacts most of these relays are identical. The difference is in the final contacts and depends on whether you are dealing with a whistle or horn. The horn has more contacts. Asside from physical damage I have never seen one of these relays go bad.

The relay did not go bad.  At some point in the 2023's history, a battery leaked.  The corrosion destroyed the battery holder and spread to the top of the horn relay.  I used WD-40 as a penetrating oil so I could remove the attatching screw, but the screw snapped.  I decided to drill out the remaining screw fragment which in hindsight was not a good choice.

I've removed the brass tabs and insulators so I can reuse them.

I'll look around at the auction sites to see what's available at a reasonable price.
