one of the forum sponsers has a basic Alaska diesel for sale. The catalog date is listed 1991. Does this mean that the item is that old or was this model made in subsequent years. Thanks tstark

I tried the vendor, did not receive a reply. Thought I would ask here Was I mistaken !!!!!!
No, you were not mistaken. Some people don't realize it is more productive just to answer the question.
More than likely it is new, old stock that was cataloged in '91 and has been sitting on a self for years. I find that lots of sellers/dealers are bad about responding to e-mails. Try giving them a call to verify. That's what I do when I don't get a response to an e-mail.
If it's the SW switcher,,,,I believe it was only made once.
It does help if you list the number.
After reading some of the post I guess the switcher was made by MPC.

How log have you waited for the seller to respond? Not everyone checks e-mail everyday. Trust your research and assume its a 1991 model.
Thanks for the positive replies. I will watch the sale board or possibly a Williams sale and buy a new model. Tstark
