Hi all,

I'm sure he's likely floating around these forums, but I'd like to specifically call him out and thank him for his outstanding service! My MTH Premier PS2 SD70MAC (5V PS2) recently became completely unresponsive on both DCS and conventional power. Despite swapping out the battery, attempting a PS2 reset, and troubleshooting, I could not return the locomotive to operation.  After a bit of research, I stumbled across Ray's Electric Trainworks website which outlined various MTH PS2/PS3 board upgrades and replacements.

I contacted Ray via email and he promptly responded with a reasonable price and a few options (PS2 3V conversion or PS3 upgrade). His turnaround on the locomotive was one day, which included replacing the bad board, loading the correct sounds on the locomotive, and validating that the locomotive ran on DCS and conventional power. His communication was great and he kept me in the loop every step of the way.

For anyone looking to have their bad PS2 boards replaced, or upgrading their PS1 or PS2 locomotives but do not wish to do so themselves, I highly recommend Ray!

I first stumbled on Ray's website a few years ago just as I was getting back into O gauge trains. His wealth of information on PS-2 and PS-3 was very informational and helpful. it was my "gateway drug" which then led me to this site and all of the great resources here. But had it not been for Ray's website, I wouldn't be here!
