On my layout, I have trains that run through multiple rooms in my basement, four to be exact.  Given that there are walls between the various rooms, I would really like to be able to monitor the activity in each of the rooms, and have it broadcast back to an iPad.  I have an iPad now that I use to run the trains via the DCS Wi-Fi ap, and would another to control the cameras, in order to not lose control of the trains.

I have thought about the "requirements" I have for the cameras:

  1. need to be wi-fi
  2. need to work in lower light, no light or full light
  3. need to be mountable - likely to the ceiling
  4. need to be USB chargable - no cords
  5. ideally need to integrate such that i can monitor 1 room or all 4 at the same time, or some combination there of

I am sure that someone has thought of this and can provide a recommendation or recommendations or perhaps give me other things to think about as well.

thanks for the input,

John

Cars - yes that is what I was somewhat thinking.  I would take the iPad between rooms so would have a mounting bracket in each room.

Barry - LOL - yes I realize I have to be able to charge the cameras and would look to have a charging cable for that to charge the cameras and then be able to easily attach and unattach the cameras from a mounting bracket.

thanks,

John
