Did not find the answer embedded in the nice review article in the January OGR, so...
If this set were to be installed....with LOTS of additional track...around the top of a child's bedroom wall, how well would it work? The room would be about 12X14 feet.
Two issues in question...
1) We're talking roughly 60 feet of track for the periphery of the room. Normally, with wired powerpacks, the recommendation for smooth running would be multiple feed points...say one mid-point each wall in this instance. But with the remote package of this Thomas set, that's not possible. So what would be the effect of having the remote 'reach' 30' in each direction?
2) Second issue...How far away and from what angular direction will the remote communicate with the track/train? i.e., If the track/receiver is mounted up high and the remote is being handled from about 6-7' below, and maybe 12-14' across the room, will this cause control difficulties?
Any perspectives or experience in this area so far?
Thanks for the help.
