To All:
I purchased an MTH GP40 CSX Diesel in 3rail as no 2rail models have been available for a VERY LONG TIME. I got it at Mr. Muffin's,&he swapped the 3rl wheels for replacement 2 rl,but I forgot to tell him to remove the 3rl couplers. Can I do this without taking the body apart or trucks or both? He told me there's a "tab" to be removed,but am not finding it.
Also,I in time,want to put Protocraft type couplers on my diesels. How much "shimming" would you fellas estimate has to be done to get the couplers up to the correct height? For now I will use Kadee couplers,until or if, lower shelf couplers become available,as they're supposed to be in the works.
