how can I get a copy of an instruction manual for 5000 C&O h-6 2-6-6-2 #1302.i have aquirred this model without a manual.aaaAlso can anyone tell me more about this brand

As I recall, none of the RoW locomotives came with a manual.

Regarding your loco, it was the first one from RoW.  It was one of 250 pieces.  It has digital whistle, bell, chuff and neutral sounds.  It also has an LED flickering firebox.  The smoke unit is from Seuthe so be sure to use the Seuthe smoke fluid; it is thinner than water.  And the bulbs are 1.5V grain of rice.  It was built by Ajin Precision of Seoul Korea.

I owned one of those years ago. Very nice.  Sound was way ahead of what was available back then.

Thanks.  Those were the first digital sounds from real equipment.

We had some interesting adventures going on a quest for sounds.  I used my wife's old battery powered cassette player and an IBM 386.  The sound was 8 bit clocking at 8kHz.  Certainly not what we have today.

We had a good time in Orville Ohio one Sunday morning when Rich Melvin was prepping 765 for an excursion run.

Lou, Could you please share any details you can recall about the Chesapeake & Ohio 0-4-0 with the Baltimore & Ohio green Railway Express Agency boxcar with sounds?  Thank you, John

The loco had a 4 pin socket that connected ground, motor, and chuff data to the sound system in the boxcar.   The chuff connection is obvious and the motor connections instructed the sound system to stop the neutral sounds (air pumps) and listen for a chug signal.  Does that help?
