Hey everyone...
I just placed an order through Mega-Steam, one of the forums sponsors, and I got to thinking about what it is about old steam that I remembered best, and you know, I cussed myself out for not sharing this with you guys earlier. Every year for the past 35 years or so I have been attending the Rock River Thresheree, held at Thresheree Park in Edgerton Wisconsin on Labor Day weekend. Hands down my favorite antique tractor show throughout the states, and I've been to a lot of them. Running around the park, is the Rock River Cannonball Train. And you know, I'm ashamed to tell you after all these years, I have never bothered to check up on the history of the Rock River Cannonball train, so all I can do is show you some photo's I have taken from time to time. Every year my kids & I go to the show, the first thing we do is take a Cannonball ride, and right before we leave, take another Cannonball ride! It is so seriously cool, if you aren't familiar with it, by all means, search out the show online and make it a point to go. I can guarantee a great time! One year I was very flattered, the girl that ran the booklet they put out for the show found a couple of these photo's I had on my website, and she used them in their book, that was the first time anything like that ever happened to me. Hope you enjoy the photo's, if anyone can add more about the history of the train, I would love to hear it...
